Purpose of the Municipal COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program: to provide community support to PEC community groups, not-for-profits, and charities that have suffered organizational set-backs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has resulted in a lot of organizations with obstacles to recovery and getting their organization back up and running.
Money for this program comes from unallocated funds from the 2020 Municipal Community Grant program plus funds from The County Foundation. TCF allocation will focus on Vital Signs priorities primarily in the areas of Food Security, Health, Transportation, and Education.
How to Apply
Application opens: September 14, 2020
Applications are due: October 16, 2020 at 12:00 noon. Applications received by this date will be adjudicated on a competitive basis based on available funds. Applications after this date will be considered if funding remains. At October 16, 2020 at 12:00 the number of requests exceeds the supply of funds and no more applications will be considered.
Announcements will be made by December 1, 2020.
Applications can be submitted electronically using the online form; applications can also be printed, scanned, and emailed to info@thecountyfoundation.ca (you will receive an email confirming receipt within 48 hours); or drop off by hand to Suite 103, 280 Main St., Picton, ON (Edward Building).
Eligibility
Who is eligible:
- any PEC community group, not-for-profit, or charity that serves PEC residents. With exclusions below.
- groups need not be qualified donees
Who is not eligible:
- non-PEC based groups;
- any PEC groups that have already received money in 2020 from either the:
- any organization that does not meet the General Granting Conditions set out by TCF.
Eligible expenses: Any administrative, project, program, or operating expense is eligible.
Total grant pool available: $73,600
TCF reserves the right to increase the size of the various grants and/or consider an application under another stream based on the demand at time of application closure.
