The Macpherson Award
The Macpherson Award was established as part of The Macpherson Fund by the late Douglas and Kathy Macpherson. Douglas was one of the original co-founders of The County Foundation in 2008 and their generosity continues on through their Fund.
This is an annual $2,000 award to support 3 County residents ($6,000 total) studying in the fields of:
- Arts or Science
- Skilled Trades
- Agriculture
Students of all-ages are welcome to apply for this award. The scholarships may be awarded across all 3 fields of study or 3 scholarships may be awarded for one on the above categories – depending on applications received.
How to Apply
How to Apply
- Fill out the application form (available below)
- Provide proof of acceptance into a post-secondary institution in the fields of: Arts or Science, Skilled Trades, or Agriculture.
- Provide brief essay OR video (less than 5 minutes) outlining interest in your specific field, explain how this scholarship will assist with your career goals, and tell us a little about yourself.
The deadline for applications is May 31st each year.
