Vital Impact Fund

The Vital Impact Fund is the signature fund of The County Foundation (TCF), bringing together the work of our Vital Signs data and our grants to better serve the needs of the Prince Edward County community. This fund responds to Vital Signs priorities in our community granting to agencies and charitable organizations doing valuable work towards cross-sectoral priorities such as healthcare, food security, the environment and education. 

An excellent general fund to support if you want to help the community and you like knowing that granting decisions are guided by our Vital Signs data. This ensures our grants have a direct and positive impact across the County.

Support Scholarship and Bursary Funds

The County Foundation, through donors and scholarship creators, offers a number of grants open to students from Prince Edward County attending post-secondary education.
Alan Whiteley Scholarship Fund (Environmental Science/Math/Sciences)
A $2,000 scholarship to a graduating student of Prince Edward Collegiate Institute who is entering a post-secondary institution within Canada, preferably with a focus on environmental studies, math or sciences. ᅠTo donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Bryan Lane Scholarship for Visual Arts

An annual scholarship of $750 awarded to a student pursuing education in the arts (fine art, painting, sculpture, pottery etc.) To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.


Jack R. Sisson Bursary Fund (Athletics)
For one male and one female student graduating from Centennial Secondary School or Eastside Secondary School who has demonstrated skills in athletics, leadership in the school community, a sense of fair play, and team spirit. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Marjorie Sero Stailkovich Memorial Fund (Indigenous Education)
A $2,000 bursary awarded annually to a graduating Indigenous student from Hastings/Prince Edward County area pursuing post-secondary studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution or continued education through learning facilities or centres. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

OENO Gallery Arts Scholarship
An annual scholarship of $2,000 for a person studying Arts Administration or Fine Art (Visual) at a recognized post-secondary institution. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

PEC Arts Council Fund
Up to two scholarships of $1,000 awarded per year to support local youth in their pursuit of a post-secondary education in the Arts or Arts Administration. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

PEC Syria Funds – Education Fund
For former refugees pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities or training with a recognized organization. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Prince Edward Flying Club Bursary (Aviation)
Annual bursary of $1,000 to support an individual from the Prince Edward County area (or have a strong connection to the area) pursuing studies in the aviation field (pilot, aviation mechanical engineer) at a college or university certification program. PEC Winemakers Association (PECWA) Bursary
Annual bursary of $1,000 to a youth (up to age 30) from the Prince Edward County area or have a strong connection to the area pursuing studies in viticulture or oenology program at a college or university or a sommelier certification program. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Virginia Cowan Memorial Bursary (Leadership)
Presented annually, a bursary for $2,000, to a graduating PECI student who identifies as female or non-binary pursuing post-secondary education who has participated widely in school life, sports, and community. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Wili Fida Memorial Bursary (Culinary)
Annual bursaries of $1,500 for to up to two young people (up to age 30) from Prince Edward County who are pursuing a post-secondary culinary education. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Al and Eurithe Purdy Fund

Dedicated to supporting Canadian authors and preserving the historic Al Purdy A-Frame in Ameliasburgh, Ontario. This fund aims to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the iconic A-Frame, located on picturesque Roblin Lake, while also facilitating the prestigious Al and Eurithe Purdy Poetry Award.

All Welcome Here (Focus on Anti-Racism in PEC)
A BIPOC-led non-profit organization focusing on anti-racism in a consciously intersectional way in Prince Edward County, Ontario. (BIPOC: Black, Indigenous and People of Colour). To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Big Hearts Refugee Settlement Fund
Supports private sponsorship and resettlement of individuals and their families who are seeking asylum or refugee status in Canada and who are in particular danger because of their gender, sexual orientation, or participation in professional or cultural activities banned by the authorities in their home country. Built Heritage Fund
Supports the care of heritage buildings within Prince Edward County and ensures that historic structures in the County are protected. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Button Fund
Aimed at supporting causes to support youth and families, people struggling with homelessness or addictions and the arts. The fund will also collaborate with the Wellington on the Lake community to support community events and fundraisers. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Elderberry Fund
Dedicated to supporting a broad range of local organizations and causes from food security, arts and culture, health and human services, agriculture, and the environment.

Friends of South Shore (FOSS)
A local community-based organization focused on connecting people with the culture and nature of the South Shore – keeping it ᅠnatural, rural, wild, and free. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Huff Family Fund
The Huff Family Fund is a commitment to the FUTURE of Prince Edward County. It is about the children, families, and the challenges that many face. It is about helping within our community. It will focus on projects and programs based in Prince Edward County, serving Prince Edward County people. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Matt Stever Fund (Picton Rotary)

The Matt Stever Fund was created to assist families in Prince Edward County who suffer hardship caused by the severe illness, accident or death of a child. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps by selecting Picton Rotary-Matt Stever Fund from the drop down menu. This fund is administered in partnership with the Rotary Club of Picton.

Marjorie Sero Stailkovich Memorial Fund
Established to support Indigenous education and life-long learning in Prince Edward and Hastings. Provides an annual bursary to an Indigenous student from Hastings/Prince Edward County. Additionally, the fund will provide annual gifts to the following Indigenous organizations and programs: Kanhiote Public Library,Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na (TTO), Indigenous Crisis Services and Enyonkwa’nikonhriyo:hake (Good Minds) Program. PEC Syria Funds – Settlement Fund
PEC Syria sponsors refugee families who were forced to leave Syria and helps to bring them to Prince Edward County and the surrounding area. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

PEC Arts Council Fund
The PECAC Artist Fund supports the career development of local artists as well as supports students going into arts programs. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Prince Edward County Food Hub
Services small-scale food operations, caterers, food truck proprietors, restaurants, not-for-profit food security organizations, and, through a developing program of food education and training, the students, parents and community of Prince Edward County and the Bay of Quinte. Prince Edward District Women’s Institute
The purpose of the District is to promote, supplement the efforts and increase the productivity of the Branches through District meetings and cooperative educational programmes. To donate you can do so online through CanadaHelps.

Music at Port Milford Legacy Fund

99.3 County FM
99.3 County FM is the only radio station focused on the needs of Prince Edward County.
